Designing financial incentive programmes for smoking cessation

This Shiny App is a companion to research investigating current smokers' preferences for the design of incentive programmes to aid smoking cessation, and how the design impacts individual's willingness to enrol. For more information on this research, please contact Rachel Breen or Stuart Ferguson

The below figure depicts the estimated uptake of programmes across different incentive amounts. The solid line indicates the estimated uptake for the most preferred programme design: a programme offering cash rewards of a consistent amount for verified abstinence, with sessions provided once per week in a healthcare centre.

Use the drop-down menus to change the programme design. The dashed line will show the trade off in uptake produced by changing elements of the design.
